If you are unable to attend but would still like to support, we are accepting donations via the Herring Conservation and Restoration Society at savetheherring.org. All funds will go towards travel and accommodation costs for the hereditary chiefs participating in the forum. If there is a surplus, it will be transferred to the W̱SÁNEĆ hereditary chiefs, who are building a fund for future stewardship work.

First Nations and environmental organizations are gathering to discuss the restoration of the Salish Sea's distinct herring populations and collaborate on strategies to bring vitality back to communities for whom herring was a foundational species.
First Nations communities from the Salish Sea are invited to share their knowledge about the importance of herring, voice their thoughts and concerns with current approaches to herring management, and discuss how to move forward together. Lunch, coffee, and snacks willbe provided.
