You are invited to the Esquimalt Gorge Pavilion, Thursday, October 30th, 5:30 to 9 PM to learn more. The Pavillion itself is a beautiful venue and it will be an informative evening. Brought to you by the Herring Conservation and Restoration Society.

Herring feed whales, chinook, halibut and sea birds. People come to BC to see or catch predators of herring and that brings $1.38 Billion in annual economic activity. Herring are valuable. We need to stop the stock decline now.

Chief Eric Pelkey has a Douglas Treaty project, a request from his counsel that DFO stop herring harvest until the WSANEC can fish as before. This is not an easy or low cost project and we will learn more about Chief Pelkey’s plan.

Sydney Dixon has a plan from Pacific Wild to influence DFO and she has the latest research on the Southern Resident Killer Whales.

Sydney McCabe of Eagle Wing Tours has the latest on herring in the Victoria area and you know Eagle Wing has the greatest photos.

Tickets are $25.00 (plus tax and fees of $3.04) from Eventbrite, available now.
